Her surname indicates that her father should be a Kashmiri but her members of her family do not reflect any Asian lineage. Only Katrina is the only member who looks like a remote Indian. And rest of the family appears to be a white British people.

Some people thus think that Katrina’a hair is the work of tan and her skin tone a good tan. But what is the reality behind it, still remains a secret.

Kat had started her Bollywood career with ‘Boom’. At that time her surname wasn’t Kaif it was Turquotte. However as the producer of the film felt that a complete Anglo actress could be rejected by the audiences, he invented Kaif as the last name for her. She was even given a fake story of a Kashmiri father.

It was not until last year that Kaizad Gustad, the director of Boom, came forward to state unequivocally that Katrina Kaif is not Indian.

We guess, it is the high time Katrina should come forward and unveil the truth of her ancestry.

Katrina Kaif to play lead role in Satyagrah

Buzz is that Akshay Kumar would be paired opposite Katrina Kaif. Akki besides acting would be producing the film as well.

An icing on the cake would be appearance of Madhuri Dixit in the film who has done ‘Mrityudand’ in the past with Prakash.
Earlier Kareena Kapoor was also being considered for the role but Katrina has been finally zeroed down. An insider reveals, “Katrina and Kareena were being considered for the role but it is Kat who has bagged it finally. We are still trying to sort out the dates with her.”

As ‘Raajneeti’, Katrina Kaif will be sporting a non glamorous look according to the sources close to unit.

Satyagrah is expectedly a film based on corruption in India. The film is loosely based on episode of Anna Hazaare.

Katrina Kaif turned down Shahrukh Khan's 1 Crore offer

Katrina is busy shooting in London these days for her forthcoming film where she is paired opposite Shahrukh Khan. She thus dumped the offer of this ten minute show. For Kat commitment is commitment. She keeps her words and sticks to her work.

Katrina Kaif was approached to walk ramp for ten minutes at one of the fashion shows in Kochi where besides her several south Indian beauties were to be present. Amongst them all Kat was the highest paid ramp walker.

She, however, decided to turn down the offer as her dates clashed with ‘Yash Raj Films’ ‘London Ishq’. Katrina has bagged as many as three ventures from YRF banner. She is on the top of the world these days it seems.

Katrina Kaif is one of those lucky heroines who have got chance to work with three prominent Khans of Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan and she will do ‘London Ishq’, Salman Khan, her real life beau will pair opposite her in ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and Aamir Khan shares screens with her in ‘Dhoom 3’.

Recently she has signed a contract with Linc Pen and Plastics Ltd which markets Uni-ball ball pens, manufactured by Mitsubishi Pencil Co of Japan.

Extremely delighted to confirm the news Kat spoke to the media personals and said, “I am excited about being the face of a youthful, high-quality international brand like Uni-ball which I have personally grown up with in UK.” Further appreciating the pen she said, “I particularly love Uni Jetstream, which I think, is the smoothest pen in the world.” Katrina will also join the launch of a multi-media campaign that will feature her for Uni Ball Pen’s promotion.

Deepak Jalan, Managing Director, Linc Pen & Plastics Ltd, said, “The decision to take Katrina as Uni-ball brand ambassador is based on the fact that she has a great connect with the urban youth of our country, which is basically where our brand focus is.” His excitement was evident when he said, “For a pen that is largely aimed at college students and young working professionals, Katrina will definitely infuse fresh energy and vivaciousness.”

This is not for the first time that this Bollywood diva would be endorsing any brand. It was an idea to pay tribute to some of the legendary stars of Bollywood like Guru Dutt and Waheeda Rehman where Aamir portrayed Guru Dutt and Katrina portrayed as Waheeda. That photo shoot was too much liked by people and especially fans of Aamir and Katrina.

That was the last time that in the spectacular photo shoot they came together in Guru Dutt’s biopic by Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra. The pair looked stunning and everyone was curious to see this pair on silver screen together. Their wish has now come true as the pair is soon to be roped in for an upcoming Bollywood film.

We are sure the magic will be working soon and the audience would be spell bound. When Aamir was once asked why doesn’t he work with Katrina in any of the films he does to which his reply was, “I would definitely love to work with the leading lady of Bollywood, but no one has yet come up to me with this idea.”

This might have been the reason behind Kat and Aamir not pairing for a film in the recent past. Might be the love affair between Sallu Mia and Kat baby has become an obstacle as everyone in the industry knows that how protective and possessive Salman is when it comes to his girlfriend. Aamir might have been awkward and uncomfortable working with Lady Love of Salman at that time. But now when Salman and Katrina are no more a pair why would the fans of Kat wait for so long to see her with another Khan of the B Town.

When contacted about the issue he said, “Now that Katrina and Mr. Bachchan are on the top, I am re-releasing the film DVD in all formats and even on Blu-Ray in May. It’ll also be on the net.”

Katrina had reportedly got the steamy scenes that included a deep lip lock with her co-star Gulshan Grover snipped out of the initial DVD. Thanks to her then beau Salman Khan’s influence. But now when Jumani is adamant on releasing the film once again what will happen?

“There will be 21 new scenes and eight of them will feature Katrina. The scenes have been very sexily shot. The new generation will love to see it,” says the excited distributor.

Widely panned by critics, Boom, was termed a soft porn venture. The actors of the film even went on record and regretted their involvement with the project. “I had lost a lot of money because of stupid and immature statements made by the stars even before the movie released,” says Jumani.

Prod him about his counter move to check any interference from Kat’s office, he asserts, “The artist ahs willingly done the sex scenes. The producer did not force her. They had an agreement.”

Now when Salman and Kat are not a couple, will Salman intrude in the matter that may shake Katrina’s hold and image in Bollywood? Well, we will have to wait and watch what the future holds for Katrina.

Sources also reveal that during the shooting of ‘Ready’, an A-lister actress was needed for a cameo but Salman suggested Zarine Khan`s name in spite of Katrina featuring in the discussions.

The episode doesn’t end here. Reportedly Salman has informed Kabir Khan that he would not want to work with Katrina in his film and Priyanka should step in.

A close from the industry informa, “Salman has never been like this but he is definitely not happy with Katrina`s behavior. It was evident during the shoot of Bigg Boss when Salman had taken digs at her. The anger has only multiplied.”

When asked for Katrina’s take on the whole issue, another story brewed up. A source close to Katrina said, “There is no tension between Salman and her and everything is fine. She still considers Salman as one of her closest friends in Bollywood and will always continue to do so.”

Well whether or not there is a tension between the duo, fans are definitely upset with their breakup. What say guys????

Katrina Kaif paid 1 Crore for a catwalk in Kochi

And if reports are to believe then she is paid rupees 1 crore for an exact ten minute show on the ramp. Interestingly even the local stars at Kochi are not paid the half of what Katrina has been offered.

A source informs, “Bollywood stars stand to gain a lot more than local actors. Stars from other south films manage to take home the next high amount. For instance, actresses like Shreya Saran, Asin and Trisha get paid as much as Rs. 30 lakh for an appearance. Though, most often, an appearance will also include payment in kind – a gift from the place they are inaugurating,” says a source.

The local stars as Suresh Gopi, Samvritha Sunil and Kavya Madhavan are often spotted at the inauguration ceremonies, events or dance shows. On the other hand some superstars as Mohanlal and Mammotty prefer to endorse a brand rather than accepting meager amounts for public appearances.

The source adds, “Sticking on as the face of a brand for over two to three years seems like a feasible option for these busy stars, who would not really be able to accommodate many changes in their schedule. And a two to three crore deal that requires one single photo shoot or presence is quite worth their time too.”

If the deal materializes, Katrina would be the highest paid star to walk the ramp in Kochi till date.

And the Bollywood diva in question is no other than Katrina Kaif. She is smitten by the dancing bug. Each time she gets to perform on an item number, she gets extremely excited.

Post ‘Sheila ki Jawani’ and stint of ‘Bodyguard’, Katrina is fond of item numbers. She is now adamant on becoming a better dancer and whenever she gets time she practices dance moves in front of the mirror.

“She spends hours in front of the mirror and is always looking at improving her dancing. She is honing her dancing skills as seriously as improving her Hindi,” a source informs.

“If she is doing that – practicing in front of the mirror, it’s the best way to learn dance,” says choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant. Well, let’s not be surprised then if Kat gives us some more impressive jhatkas and matkas in her next few item numbers.
